Niceties › C.S. FLOUR SACKS 3 different sizes.

C.S. FLOUR SACKS 3 different sizes.

from $18.00

Confederate States marked FLOUR SACKS. Made by G.M. WHITLA, these flour sacks copied from originals one of which can be seen in ECHOES OF GLORY Confederate Arms and Equipment, are machine sewn on the inside seams with one end left open as if just emptied to pour out the flour that would have been issued to the Confederate soldiers. These bags which are available in 3 sizes are extremely useful for many living history scenarios or just to carry some potatoes or other food you may have foraged for. Of course, you could fill up with flour as that was the original use for these, often soldiers would take the empty bags to repurpose for their own uses as well.
MEASUREMENTS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
SMALL 18”X12” $18.00
MEDIUM 27”X22” $21.00
LARGE 32”X20’ $24.00
(The last two photos are a Confederate Flour Mill in Richmond Virginia, and a flour sack filling device at a Mill, probably post war.)
