Colonel Nathan Bedford Forrest, Fort Donelson Febuary16,1862. The Confederate commander planned to surrender the army in the morning. Forrest and five hundred other men left that night and made their way to Nashville without any resistance. It was this action that was the beginning of the Forrest legend.
This framed, print is preowned of course as it was done in the year 1991. The framed size is 33.5” by 30” inches.
The frame has several scratches on it which can be seen in photos. The blemishes could be easily covered with some stain. Comes with certificate of authenticity. This lithograph was displayed in the office of a good friend who recently passed away. Shipping is only to the congenital United States only.
